Maidstone United manager Jay Saunders believes fans will see best of Vas Karagiannis next season

Jay Saunders says there is still more to come from man-of-the-moment Vas Karagiannis.
The Greek winger scored twice - a penalty and a superb free-kick - and set up the other goal for Dumebi Dumaka in a 3-1 National League South win over Weston on Saturday.
His double came five days after a last-minute winner when the sides met in a rearranged game in Somerset.
Karagiannis has made a big impact since joining from Ryman League Premier Division Leatherhead before Christmas, scoring seven goals and laying on many more, but fans have seen nothing yet.
Maidstone manager Saunders, who saw his dominate, said: “I brought him in because I thought he would score goals for us.
“At the moment it’s not happening so much from open play but when he gets a set-play, whether it be a corner, a free-kick, a penalty, he’s confident and he’s got belief and he’s got quality from it.
“His goals and assist ratio since he’s been here are very good.
“I still think there’s more to come from him. You won’t see the best of him until next season, when he’s had a good pre-season.
“Once he’s done that I’m sure he’ll get better and better for us.”
Saunders felt Manny Parry was back to his best at centre-half and liked the look of Dan Sweeney in a defensive midfield role, the No.10 playing deeper with James Rogers fit enough only for the bench after illness.
The manager also praised Dumaka after his fourth goal in seven games since arriving from Grays.
Saunders said: “You sign these young lads from leagues below and you’re hoping they’re going to do well.
“He’s someone we watched. I remember going to watch him at Canvey at the beginning of the season and you kind of keep watching and think ‘okay, he can do it’ and we’ve got him in.
“He’s been good. I thought he was very good today. Again he’s probably disappointed he’s not got another couple of goals but he’s chipped in and he was a handful for them.”
