"I'm hoping we'll be able to hold on to him. He enjoyed himself.

"There's another team I'm close to who have said if he's not up to par he could train there but, from what I've seen, I'm sure he'll be fine with us."

Sittingbourne are also looking to complete a deal for ex-Harlow forward Tommie Fagg.

He too appeared against Bearsted and is a player Odev knows through his work with the Soccer Elite coaching school.

The Brickies boss said: "He's one we're looking to get on board permanently. He looked very good.

"He can play the No.10 or No.9 role.

"He's 6ft 5in and the best thing about him is he uses his height to the best of his ability but he also wants to try and play football.

"He was at Soccer Elite, so I've seen him a couple of times before, and he has a really good attitude."

Sittingbourne visit Cray Valley on Saturday (12.30pm) and play Canterbury away next Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Bourne are in talks with Danish Division 1 club Fremad Amager to form a twinning arrangement.

It's been prompted by ex-Sittingbourne resident Mark Chapman, who now lives in Denmark and supports both clubs.

The first step would be a link with Fremad's official fan club.
