Maidstone right-back Aaron Simpson is on trial at Championship club Wolves this week.

It's more good news for the highly-rated 17-year-old who earlier this month was named in the England Schoolboys squad for the Centenary Shield.

Maplesden Noakes student Simpson is a product of the Soccer Elite academy.

Coach Lee Spiller told the Soccer Elite website: "Wolves are very interested in Aaron and we are delighted he’s getting the recognition and the opportunity he deserves.

“He’s been a consistent performer in our pro fixtures and gained lots of praise from both Blackburn Rovers and Southampton in recent friendly games.

“I’m sure he will do superbly, he’s got all the attributes to play at the highest level and his attitude is first class."
