Andre Coker’s Maidstone contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.
Winger Coker had a year to go on his Stones deal but had already been told he could leave the club.
Now a free agent, the former Crystal Palace youngster is better placed to find a new team and secure the regular football he craves.
Coker, speaking to KentOnline in May, said: "I just want to play next season. That's it. Anywhere. I just want to play football.”
Coker was signed by Jay Saunders following a loan spell but lasted only one half of Harry Wheeler’s first game in charge before being sent out on loan to Dartford.
It wasn’t the campaign he had in mind after joining Maidstone from Palace but he vowed to learn from the experience.
“Everything happens for a reason,” added Coker in his May interview.
"I've been through it, I'm stronger for it, I've learnt a lot this season.
"I just move on, look forward to next season and try and prevent those things from happening again.
"You can't keep blaming others.
"Not everything can go sweet for you but it's not changed my ambitions in football, it's just slowed me down a bit.
"I'm still very ambitious, and a lot can change in a year."
