Maidstone defender Tom Mills admits they don't do many defensive drills in training

Tom Mills says Maidstone’s magnificent defence is taking care of itself.
You might think it would take hours and hours on the training ground to drill a back four who haven’t conceded a league goal since the end of August.
But after six clean sheets in a row, United defenders know exactly what they’re doing.
Left-back Mills said: “Where we’ve been doing so well, we don’t do much defensively in training.
“We might do a few drills but when you’re on a run, you don’t worry.
“We’re well organised, we know each other’s games and even with Steve Watt out, Jamie Coyle has come in and kept us together.
“Training has more been about scoring more goals as a team – and that will come.”
Mills chalked up his 250th appearance for Maidstone this season and feels this is the best United side he has played in.
The full-back quickly adapted to the challenge of National League South.
He said: “In the Ryman League you’d be up against people just trying to run past you and put balls in the box but the wingers at this level have more about them.
“They’re technically better and have good feet and you need to be more aware of what they are going to do.
“Everyone knows I always put 100% into a match. I never go into a game thinking it will be easy.”
