Bury Town 1 Maidstone United 2 - match report
08:06, 28 January 2015
Maidstone came from a goal down with 10 men to win 2-1 at Bury Town on Tuesday night.
United were already trailing when Billy Bricknell was sent off for swearing at a linesman.
But they scored twice in three minutes through Jack Parkinson and substitute Frannie Collin and are four points clear at the top of the Ryman League Premier Division.
Shane Huke was injured in a collision with team-mate Alex Brown in the build-up to Bury's goal on 51 minutes.
The ball broke for Joe Whight who crashed a superb effort past Lee Worgan after a long run.
Bricknell's frustration got the better of him four minutes later after a penalty appeal was turned down.
But the 10 men levelled on 71 minutes with Brown squaring for Parkinson, who finished in the six-yard box.
Collin, introduced for Nathan Elder midway through the second half, curled home a brilliant free-kick winner after a foul on Brown just outside the box.
