Tonbrige Angels boss Tommy Warrilow hits out after Conference refuse to extend season and ease club's fixture burden

Tonbridge must squeeze half of their league fixtures into the last 10 weeks of the season - and their plight could be about to worsen.
The west Kent club still have 21 games to play in Skrill South and only 71 days available from Saturday, when they’re due to host high-flying Eastleigh.
Angels boss Tommy Warrilow had hoped the Conference might extend the season to help the fixture pile-up, but his wish hasn’t been granted.
He said: “The league are saying they’re not going to extend the season because it’s not fair on the sides who have fulfilled their fixtures.
“I just don’t think you can look at it like that. Is it our fault we’ve had such bad weather? I just give up on common sense these days.”
If the Eastleigh game is postponed, it could be played three days later as neither club has a midweek fixture.
Results elsewhere in midweek saw Tonbridge drop back into the relegation zone.
Lee Browning remains suspended for the Eastleigh game, having only served one of his three-match ban.
