KM Football Podcast 44 - George Elokobi

updated: 12:56, 16 October 2019

The KM Football Podcast returns with an inspiring story from Maidstone defender George Elokobi.

The 33-year-old made it to the Premier League with Wolves - even scoring (twice!) to end Manchester United's 29-game unbeaten run.

But in this fascinating chat, Elokobi talks about his upbringing in Cameroon and what made him the man he is now.

Find out how a bus ride to London started him on the road to football glory, how he had to learn football tactics quickly and why playing at the likes of Bath is just as good - if not better - than Old Trafford and the Emirates.

In a week dominated by racism, find out whether Elokobi would be happy to walk off the pitch, his own personal experience while playing for Wolves at Walsall, and what should be done now to solve the problem.

This is one interview you'll want to listen to, a true rags to riches tale from one of football's nicest men.
