Maidstone manager Hakan Hayrettin has been reunited with one of his old players.
Winger Reece Grant, who arrives at the Gallagher from Ebbsfleet, played under Hayrettin at Braintree.
Indeed, he won promotion with the Iron - albeit under a different manager - scoring the equaliser in the 2018 National South play-off final as the Essex club won on penalties.
Fleet fans didn’t see too much of the 26-year-old last season - he scored twice in eight starts and two appearances from the bench - but he has plenty to offer.
“I’ve always kept in touch with Hakan,” Grant told Stones TV.
“We’ve always had a good relationship.
“Even when I moved on, he moved on and we went to different places, we still spoke, still kept in touch and we kind of said it would be nice to work together at some point again, and the opportunity arose.”
Grant also knows Stones assistant Terry Harris, working with him at Dagenham, while other former clubs include Aldershot, Heybridge and Wealdstone.
He's Maidstone's second signing from Ebbsfleet in the past few days, with keeper Tom Hadler completing a one-year deal on Friday.
