Championship side Luton are among the clubs watching Maidstone midfielder Saidou Khan.
Former Hatters boss Mick Harford - now their chief recruitment officer - was scouting at the Gallagher as Khan made his comeback from a knee injury in United's 1-1 draw with Hemel Hempstead on Tuesday night.
It was his first appearance since the 4-1 win at Oxford in early December and head of football John Still revealed the 24-year-old is attracting plenty of interest.
"There's lots of attention on Saidou, lots and lots at the moment," said Still, who led Luton back to the Football League in 2014.
"As far as we're concerned, like any player, if someone fancies them, they come in.
"He’s not available for transfer but if someone comes in and makes an offer, the club have to consider it, of course they do. It’s business."
Clubs have continued to send scouts to Maidstone games over the past month in the hope of seeing Khan, with the Football League transfer window closing on January 31.
Still added: "We’ve had lots of interest but he’s been out.
"The last few games there’s been a list of clubs that are looking at him and in the end they’re looking at no one.
"There were quite a few at the Hemel game and their transfer window’s got another couple of weeks."
Khan spoke about his future last week as he prepared to return from injury, making it clear he wasn't expecting to leave the Gallagher this month.
