Maidstone United new boy Joe Healy on what it takes to achieve success in National League South
00:00, 19 June 2015
Joe Healy sees the qualities Maidstone need to be successful in National League South.
Healy won the division under its former Conference South name with Welling in 2013.
And after joining United this week, the midfielder has high hopes for his new club.
He said: “Maidstone are most of the way there to having what it takes to do well.
“The biggest factor at Welling was how well we played as a team – we trusted each other and knew each other.
“A lot of times we didn’t play brilliantly but we stuck together and ground out results.
“From what I’ve seen and the people I’ve spoken to, Maidstone have all that.
“It’s going to be a tough league and from what I’ve heard, there are a lot of teams with bigger budgets than Maidstone’s.
“It won’t be easy to win it or get to the play-offs but with the team and the support here, it’s well worth looking towards the top.”
