Maidstone Invicta Rowing Club enjoy medal success at British Junior Rowing Championships in Nottingham

Maidstone Invicta Rowing Club members Ross Porter and Jack Grace went close to being crowned national champions in the British Junior Rowing Championships in Nottingham last weekend.
The pair, who attend Oakwood Park Grammar School, won silver medals as part of a composite eight-man crew with Kings Canterbury in the J18 final.
They finished just three quarters of a boat length behind the
winners.
Porter and Grace had earlier finished fifth in the J18 pairs 2k final.
Maidstone Grammar School duo Tom Long and Dan Singer also arrived home with medals after finishing third in the J16 2k final.
In other results, Samuel Read (Oakwood) teamed up with Simon Jeacock (Cheam) to win the J14 B double final, missing by two seconds on qualifying for the A final.
Ella Knight and Ceilidh Monaghan finished 12th out of 32 in the J13 G double.
