Maidstone United midfielder Saidou Khan tells fans he's fit and raring to go after knee injury

Saidou Khan has declared himself fit and says he wants to do his bit to help Maidstone.
Midfielder Khan hasn’t played since suffering a knee injury in United’s 6-0 win over Concord at the end of October.
He said he was “disappointed” to miss out on the squad at Hungerford on Saturday, where he did some running work while his team-mates warmed up for the game.
The 25-year-old says he’s fit and is hoping to feature in tomorrow night’s rearranged National South match at Eastbourne Borough.
“I’m ready to do my bit for the team,” wrote Khan on Twitter, after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Bulpit Lane.
“Disappointed not to be included in the squad today as I’m fit and raring to go.
“Hopefully given an opportunity on Tuesday so I can help the lads to get our season back on track.”
Khan has only played four times this season but Maidstone are unbeaten in those matches, including three victories.
Speaking to KentOnline in November, he explained how he had come back too soon from an earlier knee injury, leading to further damage.
“I’ve had a scan and it’s a sprained LCL, which is the ligament on the outside of the knee,” said Khan.
“It’s a different injury to the one earlier this season but it happened because of that injury.
“They think I came back too quickly.
“When I got back I was a little uncomfortable and my running style changed a bit to accommodate the injury, so my movement wasn’t natural. That’s then affected the outside of the knee.
"We haven’t lost when I’ve played this season and hopefully that continues when I come back.”
