Maidstone United boss Jay Saunders says promotion to National League South opens up loan market
00:00, 27 June 2015
Jay Saunders is prepared to take advantage of Maidstone's National League status in the loan market.
Manager Saunders appears to be finished in the transfer market after all-but ruling out signing a replacement for departed striker Billy Bricknell.
But if Stones do find themselves short next season, loanees are always an option.
Saunders said: "I don't think we'll sign anyone else in pre-season unless someone comes up who will really make a difference.
"People expect me to bring in a forward with Billy Bricknell going but I'm honestly not looking.
"We've got plenty of options and we're also in a good position with the loan market.
"Pro clubs won't loan players when you're in the Ryman League but going up opens doors."
