Maidstone United co-owner Terry Casey paid tribute to manager Jay Saunders for leading the club to promotion into the Ryman League Premier Division.
Mr Casey, who alongside co-owner Oliver Ash funded the club’s move to the £2.9m Gallagher Stadium, was full of praise for Saunders following Saturday's win over Faversham Town in the Division 1 South play-off final.
He said: “Jay has just been the most inspired appointment you could ever wish for as a manager.
“He’s strong, he’s honest, he’s got integrity and he knows the game inside out.
“The players adore him, the fans adore him and we as directors adore him as well because he’s just so good to work with.”
Meanwhile, the club are looking to improve the stadium over the summer.
Plans include a new bar, a food bar and extra toilets. They’re also considering additional terracing.
