'Nomad' Overton back with Stones
00:00, 20 February 2004
MAIDSTONE United have re-signed nomadic midfielder Peter Overton from Folkestone Invicta. Overton last played for the Stones in the Kent County League during the 2000/2001 season.
Earlier this season he captained Tonbridge Angels, but in December he followed manager Alan Walker to Bromley and then joined Folkestone Invicta.
Overton's previous clubs include Chatham Town, Welling United, Fisher Athletic, Sheppey United, Sittingbourne, Ashford Town, Faversham Town, Herne Bay and Dover Athletic.
He goes straight into the squad for Tuesday night's vital Kent League game with Whitstable, which has been brought forward 24 hours to avoid a clash with England's friendly in Portugal.
