Maidstone boss Jay Saunders will let players know where they stand this week – and wants most of his transfer business done by the end of May.
Saunders, assistant Nicky Southall and player-coach Jamie Coyle will get their heads together to decide who stays and who goes but the majority of the squad are set to be offered new deals.
The manager is also to meet co-owner Terry Casey and chief executive Bill Williams to finalise a budget for Conference South.
Saunders said: “I would like to start getting people tied up. I’ve got to meet Nicky and Coyley to make sure we agree on players and we’ll inform them as soon as possible what we’re planning to do.
“As I said, I don’t see massive changes. There’s players I’d like to get in, so a lot of it will depend on what Terry wants to do budget-wise.
“I’d like to get all our business done as soon as – that’s always the best way – and hopefully by the end of May.
“I’ll possibly leave one or two positions open towards pre-season because you normally find players trying at a higher level drop down and become available.
“Whatever Terry says I’ve got to work with, I’ll work with it. What’s been good is if I’ve needed someone during the season, nine times out of 10 he backs me and it’s great to have that support.”
