Lamar Reynolds is following Maidstone team-mate Liam Sole to Scotland.
Reynolds, whose stunning goal set United on their way to a 2-1 FA Cup fourth-round win at Ipswich, has joined Greenock Morton in the Scottish Championship.
And with Sole, the man who set up Reynolds’ Portman Road wonder strike, joining Livingston earlier this month, the pair will face each other in Scotland’s second tier next season.
Reynolds, 28, has agreed a one-year deal at Greenock and will link up with them when his Maidstone contract expires this summer.
His new club finished fifth in the Championship this season and play home games at the 11,500-capacity Cappielow Park.
“I am delighted to welcome Lamar to Cappielow,” manager Dougie Imrie told Greenock’s website.
“He is an exciting player who brings a different style to the team with great pace and technical ability.
“Lamar will be a great addition to the frontline. He’s a player that can make a difference across a number of attacking roles and I look forward to welcoming him to the club.”
Reynolds also scored an eight-minute hat-trick as Maidstone thrashed Eastbourne 5-1 in National League South.
