Out-of-contract Maidstone forward Elliott Romain has joined Eastbourne Borough.
Romain failed to score a National League goal in 27 appearances as United were relegated but was arguably the hardest-working striker in the division.
He finished with four goals in 37 games in all competitions, including a terrific strike two minutes into his debut as Maidstone upset Leyton Orient in the FA Cup.
He also scored against Gillingham in the Kent Senior Cup semi-finals and the equaliser in the final, when United beat Bromley on penalties.
It’s his second spell at Eastbourne and new boss Lee Bradbury told the Sports website: “Elliott is a proven goalscorer, and a winner, and he has the right mentality for me."
In other squad news, back-up keeper Josh Strizovic has joined Dagenham.
