MAIDSTONE'S Under-14 rugby side secured their most important victory to date on Sunday when they defeated Worcester U14 26-0 in the prestigious Staffware Challenge Final at Twickenham.
The match was played ahead of the main attraction - the tussle between the Barbarians and England.
As the scoreline suggests Maidstone, cheered on by hundreds of supporters from the county town, dominated the game for long periods.
The trophy was presented by the former England international Gareth Chilcott. Maidstone player Toby Smith, who was cruelly injured in a warm-up game, was also presented with a winner's medal by the sponsors who invited him to join the team for the presentation.
