Goalkeeper Ryan Sandford has rejoined Maidstone on a three-month loan from Millwall.
Sandford first linked up with the Stones a year ago but his stay was cut short when he suffered an ankle injury in training, having conceded just once in three appearances.
After stints with Dover and Weymouth at the start of this season, he’s back at the Gallagher and is set to replace Yusuf Mersin in goal when Maidstone host Yeovil tomorrow.
“Sandford will play on Saturday,” said Stones boss Hakan Hayrettin, with his side looking for a first win in 10 National League games.
“It’s hard on Yus but I liked Sandford last year, he did well for us before his injury. We’ve got him back, let’s see how he does.
“Will he make a difference? That’s the million-dollar question.”
Mersin played the first nine games before making way for last season’s No.1, Tom Hadler.
Hadler’s return lasted three matches, sidelined by concussion, with Mersin regaining his place.
But with Maidstone conceding 36 goals in 15 league games - the worst record in the division - Hayrettin has decided it’s time to go back to Sandford.
