Maidstone United midfielder Alex Brown settles future with new one-year contract

Alex Brown has signed a new one-year contract at Maidstone United.
The former Gillingham midfielder, 20, turned down several trial offers to commit his future to the Stones.
United boss Jay Saunders said: “Browny’s been great to deal with all through the summer.
“It’s hard when you’ve come out of the pro game and you want to get back into full-time football. He had a lot of offers of trials from clubs in higher leagues.
“Personally, I felt it would do him good to get fit over pre-season and get a good season under his belt here but I told him to make the decision that was right for him.
“I’m delighted he’s staying. He’s a young lad and we have a good blend age-wise.
“Tom Mills, Alex Flisher, Fabio Saraiva, Richard Davies and Browny are all promising players under 24, which is great for the club.”
