Boss Jay Saunders believes maximum points from the final four games of the season would secure a play-off place.

Confidence is high after last weekend’s win at Bury Town and the League Cup success over AFC Sudbury on Tuesday night.

Maidstone go to Enfield Town tomorrow (Saturday) needing rivals to drop points.

Saunders said: “We hope the last couple of results will give us a final push.

“It’s not going to be easy but we’ve given ourselves a chance.

“Teams around us have dropped points in midweek and a few still have to play each other.

“All we can do is try and win our games and if we win all four I think we’ll be in the play-offs.

“To be honest, the lads are disappointed it’s come to this having been in the top three for most of the season.”

Michael Phillips is ruled out with a broken toe, so on-loan Gillingham youngster Stephen Butcher is set to return in central midfield after missing out on a start in the League Cup.

Alex Flisher completes a three-match suspension at Enfield while Jerrome Sobers is doubtful with the groin injury that sidelined him against Sudbury.
