WEEKS Construction have been given a 48-hour extension to come up with plans for Maidstone United FC's proposed new ground at Whatman Way after the initial deadline expired on Wednesday.
The company had proposed building a Conference-standard ground at the riverside site back in January.
Chairman Paul Bowden Brown decided if he had heard nothing by May 13 he would revert to the original plans for a smaller ground up to Southern League standards. The deadline seems to have focused Weeks’ minds on the task.
But if a satisfactory response is not forthcoming by the weekend Bowden Brown will show copies of his initial plans to the site’s owners, the MOD and to Maidstone Borough Council.
