Maidstone United bring in Craig Stone on loan from Dover Athletic to cover for the injured Shane Huke

Craig Stone has joined Maidstone on a month’s loan from Dover after Shane Huke suffered a freak injury.
Right-back Huke suffered suspected knee ligament damage in a collision with team-mate Alex Brown during Stones’ 2-1 win at Bury on Tuesday night.
They needed cover in time for the Ryman League Premier Division game at Kingstonian on Saturday (3pm) with Jamie Coyle missing through work commitments, Phil Starkey struggling with injury and Aaron Simpson on trial at Championship club Wolves.
Dover announced earlier in the week that Stone had joined Leatherhead on loan, having returned to training after breaking his foot in November.
But there was a late change of plan with the 26-year-old opting for a second spell with leaders Maidstone.
Stones manager Jay Saunders said: “Dover contacted me a week ago to try and get him some games but we weren’t in a position to do anything.
“He was on the verge of joining another club but I made the call on Wednesday, after Hukey’s injury and he was keen to come."
Jack Parkinson starts a two-game ban after picking up 10 bookings, while striker Billy Bricknell, sent off at Bury for swearing at a linesman, could miss out with an ankle injury.
