Maidstone defender Reiss Greenidge is set to line up against his brother for the third time this season.

He got the better of striker Jordan over Christmas and New Year as the Stones took four points from their double header against Tonbridge.

And they’re in line to do battle again this weekend following his younger brother’s move to Dartford.

Jordan was sent off in the Darts’ 2-0 defeat at Braintree in midweek but is free to play at Princes Park this Saturday (3pm).

The pair couldn’t be closer, even living together.

“I’m going to have to be focused because he’s a tough opponent,” said Reiss.

“He’s strong, he’s aggressive, but obviously I’ve grown up with him so I know how he plays.

“We didn’t speak during the two previous games but I don’t really speak during games anyway.

“I don’t enjoy playing against him because there’s easier people I can come up against.

“He’s not an easy opponent, so it’s not enjoyable.

“If he was crap, then it would be enjoyable.”

Jordan was Tonbridge’s leading scorer with nine goals but had lost his place to Nathan Odokonyero in recent weeks.

New Darts boss Adrian Pennock was in the market for a striker and the deal was done.

They could do with his goals after dropping into the National League South relegation zone, while United are outside the play-offs on goal difference.

“It’s crazy how it works, that we’re going to play each other again, but it will be another good experience and something to tell the parents about,” said Reiss.

“I’m sure he’ll be trying to get one over on me now.

“He was top scorer at Tonbridge but he wasn’t really playing and he needs to play.

“He’s been at Dartford before and hopefully he can get playing can get scoring, just not against us.”

Reiss is on a good run of games in the Maidstone backline, impressing in the 2-0 win over Chelmsford on Tuesday night.

He’s had his injury problems at the Gallagher but is hoping to put those behind him and stay in the team.

“I just need to keep it going until the end of the season,” he said. “That’s my focus. Help the team win, keep fit and get some more goals - they’re my three main objectives.”

Maidstone travel to Dartford again on Tuesday night - this time in the Kent Senior Cup semi-finals.
