Maidstone United boss John Still preparing to bring Ibrahim Olutade back from Leatherhead

Striker Ibrahim Olutade is set to be back with Maidstone in time for Christmas.

Olutade has scored 13 goals for Leatherhead since rejoining his old club on loan in September.

His prolific spell with the Isthmian Premier outfit has done his confidence the world of good and it will be up to him to bring that form back to the Gallagher.

With United short on options up top, following injuries to Ibby Akanbi, Jake Embery and Jonny Edwards, Olutade could have been recalled sooner but he's nursing a calf problem himself.

Head of football John Still said: "It's something at the back of his calf but we have spoken about him coming back.

"I hope he will come back and make an impact.

"He's gone there, scored goals and got his confidence but the biggest thing we see now is he's got his sharpness.

"He took so long to get properly fit if I'm being honest but I think the loan has done him the world of good.

"We're looking to get him back maybe for the Christmas period.

"He's got to compete to play, where he wasn't before because he was too far behind.

"It's an ideal time for him to come back."

Maidstone host fellow National League South club Concord in the FA Trophy first round on Saturday.

Saidou Khan (knee) joined a mounting injury list this week but Still isn't complaining.

He said: "I think we're capable of beating anyone at the level we play, the problem is consistency.

"You can talk about injuries and stuff like that but I'd sooner talk about people that are playing showing they deserve to keep their place in the team.

"The ones we've got have to go out there and do the job."

The tie carries prize money of £4,500.
