Maidstone have signed former Arsenal defender Gavin Hoyte following his release by Dagenham.
The right-back agreed a one-year deal at the Gallagher in a move that reunites him with his ex-Daggers boss John Still.
Hoyte, 29, said: “I’ve worked under John Still before at Dagenham, so I know what he wants and expects.
“He knows how to get the best of out players and he knows how to win leagues, so I am sure he will help me and the team achieve what we want to.
“This is going to be a tough league but if we get our team together and work hard, we can beat anyone.”
Hoyte, 29, joined Arsenal aged nine, making his Premier League debut at Manchester City in 2008, facing Brazilian star Robinho.
It proved his only league game for the Gunners but he made several League Cup appearances and had loan spells with Watford, Brighton, Lincoln and AFC Wimbledon before signing for Still at Dagenham in 2012.
It was the first of two spells with the Daggers for Hoyte, who in between played for Gillingham, Barnet and Eastleigh.
