Stones unveil new boss
10:12, 18 May 2004
MAIDSTONE United will name Lloyd Hume as their new manager this afternoon.
The former Sittingbourne and Tonbridge player takes over from Mal Watkins, who has stepped down for personal reasons, despite losing just one league game during his six months in charge.
Hume will be assisted by the former Gillingham captain Alan Walker. The duo are expected to make wholesale changes to the Stones squad, with up to eight new players being brought in.
