Maidstone hope to see Bournemouth loanee Charlie Seaman in the next couple of weeks.

Right-back Seaman joined United at the end of January but is still receiving treatment for a hamstring injury suffered while on loan at Eastleigh.

The 20-year-old is nearing fitness and his presence will be a plus for Maidstone during the National South run-in.

Head of football John Still said: "We think he's probably a week or two away.

"We knew he was injured when we took him but he's not costing us.

"He's getting treatment at Bournemouth and when they say he's ready, he'll be with us.

"We know he's a decent player and even if we get seven, eight, nine games out of him, it will be worth it.

"I spoke to the manager at Eastleigh, Ben Strevens, who's one of my old players, and he said they'd have him back but he's actually from our neck of the woods.

"He goes out with the daughter of Jim Stannard, my old goalkeeping coach, so we've got connections and we worked on that to get him.

"We felt if Bournemouth are doing a deal for us, it will be worth taking him.

"When he's ready, it'll be a nice little boost for us."

Maidstone are short of full-back options for Saturday's game at Chippenham.

Regular left-back Noah Chesmain is an injury doubt while Dan Wishart, who would normally drop into the defence from left-midfield, starts a two-game ban after picking up his 10th booking of the season.

Centre-half Ryan Johnson, just back from injury, looks the favourite to deputise if Chesmain is ruled out.

Still said: "Ryan's played right-back for us when we've needed him to and he says he's comfortable playing left-back, so we have that option."
