Maidstone United have brought in a vastly experienced striker as their first addition of the summer.
Well-travelled 33-year-old front-man Scott Rendell has played for the likes of Peterborough United, Wycombe Wanderers and Luton Town.
Rendell, who was top scorer in the National League between 2014 and 2015 while at Woking, hopes to get the Gallagher rocking next season after a year with Eastleigh.
“I’ve worked with the gaffer before and am excited to do so again,” he told the Stones website, following the completion of his deal.
“It’s going to be a challenge for every club next season but I can’t wait for it to start and do some positive stuff out on the pitch.
“I’ve played here before and know how good the atmosphere can be. If we can start with some good football and get some positive results, then this place will be rocking and that will make it a hard place for opposition teams to come.”
Stones chief exec Bill Williams is glad to have the experienced campaigner onboard ahead of the 2020/21 season.
He said: “With an impressive playing career of more than 500 appearances, Scott’s reputation speaks for itself and he brings that experience and leadership every team needs up top.
“As we know from when he’s been on the opposing side, he can be a right handful for defenders and I am delighted he will be in our colours next season.”
