MAIDSTONE United will be forced to reshuffle their defence for the second leg of their Bass Brewers Kent League Cup semi-final with VCD Athletic on Saturday (Kick-off 3pm).
Stones lead the tie 1-0 but for the return game captain Paul Foley is suspended and his natural replacement Dave Scott must work. Manager Jim Ward may play Steve Butler as a sweeper and may bring back Jodie Kempster or Chris Thomas while Steve Orrin could also be involved.
Reserve keeper Tony Reynolds who kept a clean sheet in the first leg will make way for first choice Kevin Hudson who is available again after a two-match ban. ÒWe will have a positive attitude because we know VCD must beat us and that on our day we are the best team in the league and tactically we were spot on for the away leg," said Ward.
Stones are hoping for their biggest gate of the season for what is their final home game at Central Park and a chance to earn a cup final place against Whitstable or Cray on May 11.
