Toms out to impress old team-mates

FORMER Maidstone player and manager Matt Toms has a point to prove when he returns to Central Park to face his old side in the Bass Brewers Kent League on Saturday (Kick off 3pm).
Toms, a member of Stones Football League squad in the early 90s, will lead Whitsta-ble's attack as the visitors attempt to stop Maidstone making it seven straight wins.
Toms was manager during Maidstone's final season in the Kent County League and was appointed current manager Jim Ward's assistant when the club were promoted, but he quit in August claiming he was not having enough input into team affairs."I am really looking forward to this one because I remain a Maidstone fan and am glad the club are doing so well."
hE ADDED: "I hope to get a good reception from Stones supporters, but if I get a chance in the last minute to win the game I wonÕt hesitate."
Former Maidstone goal scoring favourite Mark Gall will be at saturday's game as a supporters' club guest.
