Hakan Hayrettin is adamant the FA Trophy is no distraction to Maidstone’s National League survival hopes.
The Stones meet Salford in a third-round replay at the Gallagher tonight, having drawn 1-1 last week.
Some say it’s a competition they could do without but Hayrettin isn’t one of them.
He said: “A good habit is not losing. We haven’t lost in two games. Let’s take it on to Tuesday.
“It’s not a hindrance, it’s a good thing.
“The more the players practise what the philosophy is, the more they’ll get used to it and we’ll go from there.”
Salford made wholesale changes last week but still included the likes of big-money striker Adam Rooney and former Gillingham midfielder Amine Linganzi.
Hayrettin doesn’t know what to expect from the Ammies tonight but said: “If they want to play their full-strength team, no problem at all. We’re ready.”
Elliott Romain is available after missing the first meeting through suspension but Jake Robinson is cup-tied and Jake Cassidy didn’t sign in time to play.
The winners visit National North club Stockport in the quarter-finals on February 23.
