FORMER England spinner Phil Tufnell, who will forever be known as King of the Jungle after his success on TV's I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, has signed for the Maidstone-based cricket club Lashings.

Tufnell will make his debut in Maidstone on June 24, according to Lashings boss David Folb. Tufnell, 37, who has just retired from county cricket, will play for the club’s World XI against Cambridge University at The Mote.

Tufnell emerged victorious from a list of well-known names in the television 'Celebrity' series which finished earlier this month.

He has signed up to play a handful of games for the Lashings side, which includes an array of internationally-known cricketers.
