Maidstone United captain Steve Watt to serve three-match ban after FA reject red card appeal
15:02, 24 February 2015
Maidstone United captain Steve Watt has lost his appeal against a red card at Leiston - as there's no video evidence.
He will serve a three-game ban, ruling him out of trips to Harrow (March 7) and Grays (March 11) and the home match against Lewes (March 14).
Watt was accused of a two-footed challenge on Joe Francis during Saturday's Ryman League Premier Division match.
The Stones skipper pleaded his innocence and the club sent a picture of the challenge to the FA to support the appeal but it's been thrown out due to a lack of video evidence.
