A stolen digger worth more than £15,000 has been recovered by police after it was taken from a building site.
The theft was reported to officers on Monday, after the construction equipment was last seen three days prior in Lambarde Road, Sevenoaks.
A wacker plate – which is used to create a level and compact surface – was also taken and is worth around £1,000.
Immediate inquiries were carried out and officers from the Rural Task Force tracked both items to Little Wood, only 1.2 miles away.
Patrols obtained an emergency warrant to enter a garage where they suspected the items were being hidden.
Once inside they recovered the equipment and inquiries are ongoing to locate those responsible for the thefts.
Anyone with information that could assist officers with their investigation should call 01622 604100 quoting reference 20-0477.
