A football-mad boy from Kent filmed celebrating scoring a goal with his mum has become an internet sensation after video of his celebration went viral.

The footage shows Kian Holt, from Snodland, scoring a goal and sprinting over towards his mum for a victory hug in a heart-warming moment viewed thousands of times online.

Mum Vicky Holt said she wasn't expecting her 11-year-old son to run straight to her after the impressive goal after beating several defenders and slotting past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner.

She said: "Luckily my friend Rachel got it on film. He scored, we were all cheering and then I realised he's coming towards me.

"I had to run down the grass bank to the parents line and he was there jumping up. I turned around and everyone was in tears.

"He worked so hard along with all the other boys, they make such a good team.

"To see him take on the defenders, and then use his 'golden left foot' - that's we call it - to score the goal, was just amazing.

"I always scream and shout every time because I'm his biggest fan. But then for him to come over to me, oh my god, he's still my baby at heart."

The video, which was posted on Grassroots Football UK, now has 50,000 views and 2,800 likes.

The 34-year-old mum from Holborough Road in Snodland, says Tottenham fan Kian was thrilled by the response.

She said: "He keeps saying 'mum I'm famous, I'm famous', but I have had to explain that 50,000 people is half the seats in Wembley Stadium.

"His grandad tells him, 'don't let it all go to your head!' and I reassure him that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

"I always say along with football, you must do schoolwork. So if you don't do schoolwork, you don't do football, and that's kind of drummed into him.

"You know, you still have to be grounded and keep fighting and learning."

Vicky says Kian "eats, sleeps and breathes" football ever since he was three years old. He joined the Snodland Town FC junior section back in May 2019.

She said: "When he was younger, any object or ball that could be moved, he would kick it.

"Then he started practising his kick ups, and we found that his left foot is just insane.

"I'm biased because he's my son, but I've had lots of praise, and it's nice to hear when other people actually recognise what I can see.

"Everything he does is football. Kian can tell you who's at the top of the league, who plays for what team and what number they are.

"I don't know how he stores it all in his head, and I can't even comprehend how he knows who the other teams are - it's amazing!"

It seems like the football genes run in the Holt family too - Kian's sister Esmae, aged seven, has also had a kick at a few clubs, including Snodland Town FC under 7s.

Vicky added: "Kian not just loves football, he takes part in all sports to be honest. He's very, very athletic - which is surprising with his little lungs that he had."

Kian was born nine weeks premature in March 2011, weighing only 2lb 3oz.

"He is my miracle baby," Vicky explained. "Being my first born, I was feeling mixed emotions, and I remember them telling me suddenly that I needed an emergency caesarean.

"He was in the hospital for seven weeks. But we're very blessed in the fact he has grown up to be a normal, average boy with no complications whatsoever.

"The only thing he did get was the flu whilst in hospital, and had to go back in an incubator.

"He has asthma so his lungs do play up sometimes, but it has never, ever stopped him playing football."
