A trio of pranksters responsible for amusing the public during the election campaign have hung up their masks this morning.
The group has been targeting a banner for Tonbridge and Malling Conservative candidate Tom Tugendhat, replacing his face with the faces of various well known figures.
The latest celebrity to don Tom's suit and tie is the Iron Lady herself, Margaret Thatcher.
Over the course of the campaign, Tom has appeared as Brian Blessed, Mrs Brown, a minion, Chris Kamara, Borat, and Mr Bean, to name just a few.
But as the polls opened this morning, the group bid a fond farewell, until their next prank!
A spokesman for the trio said: "We would like to thank everyone for their support for our prank, and we hope it has brought a little bit of joy to what has been a few weeks of political nightmares and terrible tragedies.
"We hope everyone has taken the prank for what it was, light-hearted fun. Rest assured that no criminal damage was actually caused, and all precautions were taken to avoid any potentially controversial characters.
"We are also glad Tom has taken this well - some of his other billboards in the area have not seen quite so kind vandalism!
"However our work is now done, until the next prank!"
Voters are heading to the polls today to elect the representative for their area. For coverage of the election results and more, go to our election site.
