Singer Cheryl Baker's hopes of winning Dancing on Ice melted away this weekend.

Viewers watched the West Peckham star put on her best routine of the competition over the weekend, but the Bucks Fizz singer still finished in the bottom two of a public vote.

The 63-year-old and show-partner Dan Whiston battled it out in a dance-off against TV presenter Donna Air and Mark Hanretty.

Despite her best efforts, judges Jason Gardiner, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean opted to keep Miss Air in the competition for another week.

During her time in the competition, the Eurovision winner revealed she had moved Mr Whiston into her Kent home, and revealed the show's five-figure pay packet was "not enough".

After losing Sunday's dance-off, Mrs Baker told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: "I know I'm the worst skater but I've had the best time and I've had the best partner."
