Residents are furious after council members cancelled a discussion into the future of a huge quarry.
Plans to bring a three million tonne sand quarry into the village of Ryarsh have been fiercely opposed by those who live there.
The consultation into the West Malling Sandpit was expected to continue today, but was postponed at the last minute until September.
