Caravan fire on the A228 Snodland bypass at Malling Road by Leybourne Lakes causes delays

Flames tore through a caravan on the Snodland bypass earlier today causing long delays.
The fire was reported on the A228, Malling Road by Leybourne Lakes at 2.30pm and two fire engines were called.
The caravan, towed by a gold Rover, was destroyed in the blaze that took firefighters 15 minutes to bring under control.
The road surface beneath the caravan was damaged by the intense heat and will be resurfaced overnight.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
