A group of former Premier League footballers are lacing up their boots to help raise money for victims of war in Ukraine.
Snodland Town Football Club is hosting a charity game alongside Maidstone based firm Emergo next Thursday, with all proceeds going to the Ukraine Appeal.
Ex-top flight footballers such as Crystal Palace legend Clinton Morrison, former Chelsea midfielder and coach Jody Morris, and ex-Burnley, Chelsea and Maidstone United left-back Jon Harley will make an appearance.
Former Arsenal winger Perry Groves, who made more than 150 appearances for the Gunners, and Spurs midfielder Ruel Fox will also be lacing up their boots.
Kick-off is at 6.30pm, but gates will be open from 4pm. Tickets are free, but people are asked to make a minimum £2 donation.
Emergo chief executive Les Jeal, who organised the event, said: "As a Maidstone based business, we are always looking to support local charity initiatives, but we felt the local area lacked a real centralised event where everyone can come together to raise money for the Ukraine Appeal.
"With that in mind, we teamed up with Snodland Town FC to put on a charity game to raise money.
"I was fortunate enough to then go on and sign up some ex-professional footballers to join the Emergo team which really accelerated the appeal of the match to spectators.
"The raffle prizes being donated by local people and businesses are fantastic too and we are expecting a bumper crowd as the interest in supporting the event and raising money for Ukraine has been fantastic."
