Fire crews called to car fire in Stangate Road, Birling

Firefighters used a high-pressure hose to put out a car fire this afternoon.
One fire crew was sent to Stangate Road in Birling shortly after 4pm after reports a small hatchback was alight.
They used breathing apparatus while tackling the fire, which was safely put out in around 30 minutes.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: "There are no reports of any injuries, but an ambulance was called as a precaution. Kent Police also attended the incident."
