A kmfm listener has started their weekend off the right way by winning £1,000 on Kent's radio station.

Gabriella Birks from Borough Green knew straight away it was kmfm calling and could be heard screaming down the phone in excitement.

Presenter Andy Walker made the call to this month's winner who said she plans to buy a new pram with the prize money as hers had only just broken, and will also pay off some bills.

"It really, really is perfect timing," the mum said. "Thank you so much. This is amazing"

The competition, '£1,000 Friday', invites listeners to enter to win the cash jackpot. There are no questions or tie-breakers but listeners have 24 hours, from Thursday at 6pm to enter.

One person at random is chosen and then called at 6pm during the Drivetime show.
