East Malling High Street to close this afternoon for emergency repair work by UK Power Networks

A High Street will close this afternoon for up to five days while emergency repair works are carried out.
East Malling High Street will be shut between Mill Street and Chapel Street from 2.30pm.
This closure has been put in place while UK Power Networks make emergency repairs to an electrical fault.
A signed diversion will be in place during the closure.
A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: "Engineers are working as quickly as possible to replace an electrical junction box in High Street, East Malling.
"The work is necessary to maintain reliable electricity supplies for local homes and businesses.
"A temporary road closure and traffic diversions were needed to safely carry out the work.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will complete the repairs as soon as possible."
