Lorry strikes railway bridge near East Malling, causing train service disruption

Train services have been disrupted after a lorry hit a railway bridge.
It happened at around 3.10pm, near East Malling, on the High Street at Chapel Street.
Southeastern initially said all lines were blocked this afternoon.
But shortly before 4pm, it said on Twitter: "Network Rail response staff have completed safety checks to the bridge at #EastMalling and all lines have reopened.
"Trains between Victoria and Ashford may be delayed or altered."
It had earlier said: "We have been advised of a road vehicle striking a bridge, near #EastMalling.
"All lines are blocked, and trains between Otford and Ashford via Maidstone East may be delayed or altered.
"Network Rail response staff are on their way to the location."
A Network Rail spokesman earlier had said its response staff were on their way to the scene and a further statement would be released in due course.
Kent Police has been approached for information.
