Two robbers are facing jail sentences for an armed raid on a cash-in-transit van.
Christopher Downey, 35, and Peter Henderson, 36, held up Loomis security driver Denis Hayward and stole a cash cassette containing £15,850 outside a petrol station in Malling Road, Snodland, on September 17 last year.
The pair have admitted robbery, having a machete at the time at the Shell Ham Hill Service Station and handling a stolen Peugeot Boxer van belonging to Axe Hire.
Henderson also admitted handling a stolen Fiat 500 car belonging to Victoria Frank on October 6.
Prosecutor Alison Ginn said when Downey entered his guilty pleas today at Maidstone Crown Court by TV link with Elmley Prison that he admitted a machete was used in the robbery, but said he did not use it.
Downey, of Ibscott Close, Dagenham, and Henderson, 36, of Farmway, Dagenham, Essex, have been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on February 28.
