A 32-year-old from East Malling has been charged with murder and violent disorder after a man was found with fatal injures at a park near Chislehurst.
Alfie Tullett, of Catlyn Close, was arrested on Tuesday and charged yesterday after the death of Frankie Bulbrook.
Police were called to Belmont Road, Chislehurst, at 8.52pm on Friday last week after reports of up to 10 men fighting in the street near the Gordon Arms pub
Officers attended and found two men with stab injuries. The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended.
The men, aged 30 and 26, were taken to a south London hospital for treatment although their injuries were not life-threatening.
Just two minutes later officers were alerted to a collision involving a van and a pedestrian in nearby Slades Drive.
The pedestrian, Mr Bulbrook, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A van believed to be involved did not stop and was later found abandoned.
The pair who were stabbed and taken to hospital were arrested on suspicion of murder and violent disorder. One was taken into custody and later released under investigation, while the other remains in hospital.
Police then arrested a third man, also aged 30, on suspicion of murder and violent disorder who has since been released with no further action.
Investigations into a fourth suspect, aged 25, who was arrested and released are ongoing.
Tullett is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court today, via video link.
This evening officers will be at Belmont Lane and Imperial Way conducting a witness appeal, one week on from the killing.
