Man dies following 'altercation' in East Malling

A man in his 20s has died following a disturbance in East Malling yesterday.
Police were called to Larkspur Close at 6.54pm on Monday, where two people who reportedly knew each other were involved in an altercation.
A man in his 40s from the East Malling area was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
The man in his 20s was taken to hospital, where he later died.
Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have begun an investigation into the incident and the cause of death.
A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: “We heard a lot of shouting and screaming, and it sounded like pots and pans were being smashed around.
"Then all of a sudden the front window smashed.
"This kind of shouting usually occurs every other week.
"Sometimes it does put me off living here, you don’t know what’s going to happen next.”
